Trophies The Joe Berberich Cup will be awarded to the Championship winner. The Albany Cup will be
awarded to the highest placed member of Crowborough Chess Club. In a tie, sum of progressives will be used to determine trophy winners but cash prizes will be split.
Tournament Sections
The lowest third of players by rating will be allocated to the Challengers unless when entering a preference to play in the Championship has been indicated.
Rating Prizes List of entries in the
Championship will be split into four bands sorted by rating. Players in the top band
will be eligible to win the main prizes only. The players in each of
the other bands will compete for the main prizes or within their section for a rating prize.
Bands will be
published before the start of round 3.

Tournament Rules FIDE Rapidplay Rules
apply. This is a registered ECF Game Fee event. Results will be sent to the ECF
for Rapidplay Rating. Rating used will be first
of ; 1. ECF OTB Rapidplay Rating 2. ECF OTB Standard Rating 3. Highest ECF Online
Rating 4. FIDE Rating Ratings designated as (P)artial will be disregarded and treated as unrated. Unrated players cannot
win rating prizes.
